Lia is our singing chef, and we never miss an opportunity for harmony in the kitchen. A trained Soprano vocalist, Lia is also the owner of Home Cooking Consultant Personal Chef Services in Nassau County, Long Island. (No, she doesn't sing with a New Yawk accent.)
She is also the Queen of Culinary Research for the Gilded Fork test kitchen, where she provides our elves and cooks with the facts and miscellaneous tidbits they need to bring our dishes to life. We offered her a crown, but she wouldn't take it. Such modesty.
A member of Women Chefs & Restaurateurs, Lia specializes in home meal preparation, cooking lessons & party preparations, recipe research, modifications and testing, personal cookbook publishing, and kitchen organization & design consultation.
We are now convinced of her self-professed obsession with cookbooks, techniques, and food history, because she has become the walking library of the test kitchen. She and Jennifer have also begun a battle for supremacy for the best homemade Italian sauce, but Lia might win that one, as her father and grandfather were the first New York sales representatives for Progresso Foods. The girl has some secrets.
